Poli house is a 180 sqm building, built with hand-craft reinforced concrete in a plot of 1 hectare. The work was designed by Pezo von Ellrichshausen, an art and architecture studio based in Concepcion, Chile. The work received important international recognitions, among which are: the Comended Prize AR Awards for Emerging Architecture (London, 2005), the Award for Architectural Quality at XV Bienal de Arquitectura de Santiago de Chile (2006) and the Award for Best Work at la V Bienal Iberoamericana de Arquitectura y Urbanismo (Montevideo, 2006). Poli house has been extensively published in books such as Phaidon Atlas of the 21st Century (Phaidon, London, 2008) and Architecture Now 5 of Philip Jodidio (Taschen, Cologne, 2007) and in important journals, such as 2G (Barcelona), Arquitectura Viva (Madrid), Architectural Record (New York), MARK (Amsterdam), A+U (Tokyo) and Domus (Milan).
