INSTITUTION

EDUARDO MEISSNER

Eduardo Meissner is a dental surgeon from Concepcion University, Ph.D. in dentistry from the University of Bonn. As a visual artist, specialized in engraving and painting, art and architecture semiologist, Professor at Bio-Bio University Architecture School, he won the Premio Municipal de Arte (1965), Premio Regional de Arte (2002). He is an emeritus professor at Universidad de Concepcion (1999) and Universidad del Bio-Bio (2004), won an Honorary Award by the Chilean Architects Association (2000) and member of Chile Institute. He is President of the Meissner-Prim Foundation.

ROSMARIE PRIM

Rosemarie Prim is founder of the first Rural Kindergartens in Chile, Director of Copiulemu Embroiderer Group and autodidact visual artist, specialized in ceramics and sculpture. She won the Award for Social Work of Concepcion’s Municipality (2002). She is currently Meissner-Prim Foundation’s President.

MAURICIO PEZO

Mauricio Pezo completed a Master in Architecture at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, a degree in Architecture from the Universidad del Bio-Bio and has been awarded the Young Architect Prize by the Chilean Architects Association (Santiago, 2006). He teaches regularly in Chile and has been Visiting Professor at the University of Texas (Austin, 2011) and Cornell University (New York, 2009). He is a partner of Pezo von Ellrichshausen studio.

SOFÍA VON ELLRICHSHAUSEN 

Sofia von Ellrichshausen holds a degree in Architecture from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, where she was distinguished with the FADU-UBA Honors Diploma. She teaches regularly in Chile and has been Visiting Professor at the University of Texas (Austin, 2011) and Cornell University (New York, 2009). She is a partner of Pezo von Ellrichshausen studio.

OSCAR CONCHA

Oscar Concha is a visual artist. He studied Graphic Design at DUOC-UC, Concepcion. He is Animita Artes Visuales’ editor, part of the MESA8 collective and of the contemporary art project MOVIL. He is CASAPOLI’s Production Manager.

LESLIE FERNANDEZ

Leslie Fernandez obtained a Bachelor of Art with mention in Painting from the Universidad de Concepcion and a Master of Visual Arts from San Carlos Academy at the Universidad Nacional de Mexico. She teaches at the Art School of the Universidad de Concepcion, is part of the MESA8 collective and of the contemporary art project MOVIL. She is CASAPOLI’s Project Coordinator.
